Ford has introduced a sleek new electric crossover called the Explorer.

Set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market

Ford's stylish new Explorer electric crossover, engineered and built in Germany, is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market with its advanced features and impressive specifications. The initial launch will offer two battery and drive options, with the core single-motor rear-drive model featuring a robust 77kWh battery pack delivering 282bhp. This model boasts the highest range among all Explorers, with a WLTP-rated range of 373 miles. Additionally, its peak charging rate of 135kW allows it to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes, making it a practical choice for those with busy lifestyles. For home charging, the Explorer is optimized for an 11kW wall-box charger, capable of recharging around 40 miles per hour.

The Explorer's interior is designed with comfort and convenience in mind, initially offered in two comprehensively specified trim lines. These trims include Ford's innovative 14.6-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen interface, which is movable and conceals a small lockable locker behind it. Standard features also include powered front seats with heating, memory, and massage functions, stylish 19-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, and a rear ski hatch, ensuring a luxurious driving experience. These thoughtful features cater to both the driver's and passengers' needs, making long journeys more enjoyable and stress-free.

When it comes to affordability, the new Explorer offers great value through various financial options. It is particularly attractive on lease and PCP finance, with significantly lower costs through the AVC salary sacrifice scheme. Prices and availability through the AVC platform can be customized to suit individual driving needs, making it accessible to a wider range of customers. With its impressive range, advanced features, and flexible financing options, Ford's new Explorer electric crossover is poised to be a highly desirable option in the competitive electric vehicle market.
