The New 24 Model Suzuki Swift Hybrid

Compact supermini brings a blend of familiarity and innovation

The all-new fourth generation Suzuki Swift Hybrid is set to hit the UK and Republic of Ireland markets in April 2024. This compact supermini brings a blend of familiarity and innovation, presenting enhanced exterior and interior designs, superior equipment specifications, improved performance, lower CO2 emissions, and better fuel economy. Notably, it features a new Z12E 1.2-litre Mild Hybrid three-cylinder engine, which offers up to an 8% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor. With CO2 emissions at just 99g/km and a combined fuel consumption of 64.2mpg for the Motion model with manual transmission, the Swift Hybrid stands out for its eco-friendliness and cost-effectiveness.

Suzuki's Swift Hybrid is designed to lead in its class for combined fuel consumption and comes standard with the brand's enhanced and lightweight 12V Mild Hybrid system. Despite its advancements, the new Swift maintains the same compact dimensions, reinforcing Suzuki's legacy as small car specialists. The vehicle is available in two model grades: Motion and Ultra. The Motion grade is expected to be the volume seller, equipped with features such as LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 9-inch media display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Adaptive Cruise Control, heated front seats, and various advanced safety technologies like Dual Sensor Brake Support and Blind Spot Monitor. An optional CVT gearbox is available for both models, offering a combined fuel consumption of 60.1mpg.

The Swift Hybrid sits on Suzuki's renowned 'HEARTECT' lightweight platform, with the Motion grade weighing just 949kg with manual transmission. An optional ALLGRIP 'Auto' 4WD system will be available on the Ultra model later in the year. With over nine million Swift units sold across 119 countries since its debut in 2004, Suzuki continues to celebrate its iconic model's success. The new Swift will be manufactured at the Sagara plant in Japan for the UK, Ireland, and the rest of Europe. Additionally, Suzuki Connect connected services will be offered free for three years from the vehicle's registration date, and a Service Activated Warranty will be provided at no extra cost after the manufacturer warranty expires, up to seven years or 100,000 miles. This all-new Swift Hybrid exemplifies Suzuki's commitment to merging style, efficiency, and advanced technology in a compact, practical package.
