SEAT has delivered 8.4 percent more cars than in the same period of 2018; the total number of 314,300 is the highest volume to ever be reported in the Spanish automake's history.
This has been the best-ever June in the marque's history, with 57,300 vehicles sold in this month - sales are up by 11.6 percent compared to the same time last year.
Deliveries of the CUPRA brand also set a first half record. To date, CUPRA has sold 12,700 cars, which is 73.1 percent more than during the same period of 2018.
SEAT reaches highest UK sales volume during the first half of 2019
SEAT UK also posted record figures, with unit sales up by 5.1 percent compared to H1 last year, to 37,700 units.
Market share for H1 2019 stood at 2.98 percent which an uplift compared to H1 2018's market share of 2.73%.
SEAT Vice-President for Sales and Marketing and CUPRA CEO, Wayne Griffiths, made a very positive assessment of the first half results;
"We are growing faster than our initial expectations, and this despite the difficult environment we are in, where registrations in most European countries are either decreasing or stagnating.
"This favourable evolution is enabling us to gain market share and relevance. We believe that the scenario for the second half of the year will be very similar to recent months. However, we expect that SEAT and CUPRA will maintain the same upward trend."
